From July to January of each year, ASUPMATOMA carries out nightly patrols to monitor the nesting process, protect nesting females, relocate nests to protected incubation sites and ensure that the largest number of offspring reach the sea.
We currently monitor three beaches in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur:
San Cristóbal Beacj (SC): 4.5 km where the Base Camp of Operations is located and where we operate an outreach program.
Suspiro Beach (ES): 13 km long beach that is next to SC beach.
Monumentos Beach (MN): Only 300 meters long, it is within the Flora and Fauna Protection Area of Cabo San Lucas Bay.
